Kamikaze

President Bush seems to have gone off the deep end. First of all he is sending more troops to Iraq. His new direction seems awfully familiar to me. More Troops will not solve anything. If anything it will add to the turmoil and cost more soldiers their lives. I do not understand this it is as if he just said screw it. He isn't even listening to the generals that he usually listens to. The situation in Iraq is a military problem and a political one. If Bush doesn't want to talk to other nations; he could at least talk with the Iraqi govn't and form a plan that is benificial to both our respective nations. I have a feeling that the addition of more troops is going to be a colossal mistake. I hope I am wrong and it turns out not to be as bad as I picture it to be. To add on top of that I have even heard that the President basically theatened Iran and Syria. Telling them to stay out of our affairs. We are the unwelcome foreigners. It seems to me that Pres. Bush wants to push Iran and Syria till they throw the first punch. Pres. Bush has it out for those two nations. What exactly is the President's mind frame right now I do not know, but he is endangering us all. The last thing that the United States needs right now is a four front war( Afganistan, Iraq, Iran, and Syria). Maybe a five front one depending on N. Korea. Pres. Bush is provoking nations. I see bad things if Pres. Bush continues to provoke nations. It seems to me that the President is unable to accept defeat so he goes full force just to save the last bit of his dignity. What he fails to realize is that he is bringing us with him on this nose dive of his. I once thought that Pres. Bush was just a man not suited for the role of a war President. That he just did not know how to run a war, and was too arrogant to admit it. Now I think that Pres. Bush just doesn't care. He doesn't care about those soldiers on the front lines, or the three thousand or so soldiers who gave thier life for his cause.

I was struck by how easily he said there would be more casualities. Like it was nothing.

I was struck by how he said all of the bad things would continue...

Why send anyone else into the fray if nothing will change?

In the words of the president himself, "uh, m-m-m-m, er, uh..."

I'm frustrated by how difficult he is to stop. It seems almost everyone hates what he's doing, yet he's developed a dictator-like grip on the people he's supposed to serve.

Busch is very scary. I don't get him at all. He seems to be able to disassociate himself so much from what he is doing. He appears to think that the soldiers are tin soldiers, the Iraquis are the enemy. I feel so sorry for the soldiers and the Iraquis. And he has alienated the entire world. That is the part that makes me feel so insecure. 2 more years. I hope Hilary doesn't run. She won't be elected because too many people hate her and we will have another Republican president.

All of this stuff gets more muddy the more you look at it, it seems. Somewhere along the line, mankind has lost the basic idea that killing is bad, and saving is good (this idealogy saturates every political platform I stand for- but I won't elaborate right now).
I agree with the first commenter, Mary. "More casualities" means so much more then any of us realize. Even the root word "casual" denotes a certain relaxed attitude about these people's lives.

I agree. It amazes me how much smarter we are than him, and yet here we sit and he is the one who can press the button. WTF!!! Almost no one in this country supports his plan--maybe that is what keeps him ticking like that Energizer Bunny Fool.

I think your President is becoming a war freak. I don't think he cares otherwise he won't be sending more troops over there and that some of them are very young.
Thanks for visiting.

Of the people, for the people, by the people. How have we, a democratic republic, allowed the very foundations of our nation to deteriorate and crumble beneath the weight of a throne?

"A new direction" can also mean walking back down the road we just traveled, and that's what this is. Re listening: Bush is on a "mission from God", therefore anybody that disagrees, is disagreeing with God, and incredibly, Iraq isn't his goal at all; it's his launching platform.

I think it is getting impossible for the US President to look good now in the eyes of the world after defying the rest of the world against invading Iraq.

Understandably he had to react to 9/11, but I'm still doubtful about Iraq as the mastermind.

How do you leave the mess and look clean... living out the rest of your life with no conscience? Tough.

The fact that no weapons of mass destruction was found, the liberation that never materialised for the Iraqis, the mounting deaths of innocent people from both locals and US soldiers, and the recent hanging of Saddam purportedly puppeteered behind the scene by the US, make the US President a true war President.

Just like a long drawn-out Hollywood movie doing badly at the box office... just bad review after another.

War with the world, war with his own people as well. How does he sleep at night?

In God We Trust phrase must not be used in politics. Politics to me has always been a dirty word.

Quick, pull the country into a circle! There be Moslems in this here country.

Cowboy mentality is fine for children, but not very effective in presidential foreign policy decisions.

It is time for George to put away the Lone Ranger mask and start playing in a grown up manner with others in the world.

Hey no don't worry you never offend me! It's my own fault that I haven't been back to my blog in a while. I tried submitting it to a mixed martial arts newsgroup to see if they might let me write for them (no pay, just pretty much free event tickets to cover story) and they said they'd like more positive peices. So I've been thinking of taking my blog in a totally different direction than where I'm going with it now and trying to come up with ways to make it more professional. I'll see, but no it wasn't because of you or anything, and naw I'm actually only conservative about things like foreign policy and immigration. You'd probably be suprised at how liberal I am about a lot of issues.

I totally forgot what I was going to say after reading Undeniable's quote.

How true that is.

...I also forgot what I was going to say when I read Undeniable's quotation! Enjoyed the post, too.

Hi C-DELL.

I've reciprocated your link. Thank you!

"Kamikaze" is right...but with a twist: He doesn't die. Someone else does.

And yes, good quote there Undeniable. More true today. We are in serious trouble.

No, Mary, just telling The Truth. Anne, the next election for President is November, 2008. bbe--He is a man, an adult. LP--we agree. Killing is bad. Stalin killed 100,000,000 people. The New York Times' reporter at the time of the Ukranian murders of 7 million was Walter Duranty. He lied. Should I stoop to the level of some here and chant: "Walter Lied, people died?" Seven Million. Where are the pictues?
Well his is framed and treated like a hero in the NYT.
If you would like to learn more of The Truth about Walters, take a read at The Truth -- My Blog.

GOOD! It's about TIME someone called Iran and Syria AZZHOLES! Someone needs to give them a good square punch in the jaw because now Iranian agents are working in Iraq, and Bush has taken a step in the right direction by FINALLY giving our soldiers the right to shoot them! Before, we couldn't shoot Iranians because we didn't want to start another war, now it's on! Iran and Syria are going to pay for all the trouble they've caused in Iraq. If it weren't for those two countrys funneling in foreign fighters, Iraq would already be a stable Democracy by now! Kudos to the President and Iran and Syria can kiss my American Ass!!
