A Post When the White lady Wins

Two points first, I know I am more than late on posting about this, second the title is a joke for Dirk Star.

Hilary Clinton won the New Hampshire primary. Like I said on my last post I have given up trying to forecast this thing. Many people had given up on Senator Clinton, but she proved that she could rebound from her third place finish in Iowa. The results of the primary led Governor Richardson to remove himself from the race. I have noticed that some of the things I am most concerned with has not been discussed, as far as I know. That is the patriot act, I hate the patriot act and little has been said about it. I noticed that a lot of the small things that have happened since the last election, things that were big at the time. Why did the polls have the outcome so wrong? What I am getting at is this "Is the media creating the frontrunners, and making us think that these are the top candidates" I was in support of Senator Obama, but I am not at all too proud to admit that I may have fallen victim to this. I love it when elections come around I watch the news and the programs about it. Maybe this is why the polls were wrong. I recently found out that Alan Keyes is running. Why am I just finding out about this? I don't think that keyes will ever have a chance at winning, but I didn't even know. Who else is running. In an election I think that the media should cover all the candidates. This is the problem the media is starting to act out of want for ratings rather than to inform the public of the goings of the world. I still have the same excitement about the election, but I now know that this is happening. On to the next stage.

c-dell, you are lucky that you are waking up much faster than many people. the media do indeed attempt to influence folks into voting. kucinich had now been 'uninvited' to 2 debates on network tv. ron paul was left out of at least one. it is up to us to dig out the truth and not rely soley on the msm to give us news- because instead of reporting facts- they gerrypick what they want to feed us. as for new hampshire, there will be a recall courtesy of kucinich- who is paying out of his own pocket for it. not because he expects his vote count to be higher- but because there is some doubt over why clinton did better in the counties with diebold voting machines. hand counted ballots went to obama. hmmmm... we have to seek the truth.

The Polls were wrong because they talked to too many young voters.

Obama speaks in very wide "generalizations" and avoids specifics.

When the voters went to the polls they voted for the candidate they actually knew where she stood.

Obama better start talking brass tacks about specifics instead of singing children's songs to
us.

And, thanks for tossing a shout out to a sister...

Still hope that Obama wins and make the change for the US people and change their perceptions on the people of the world for the better.

It doesn't surprise me that Keys is running. Stay away from the mainsteam media in this election; look to writings from other countries, independents from right and left--it's all a circus now anyway.

I too, am for Obama, but why doesn't anyone mention that damn Patriot Act? What has happened to liberty and justice? There has to be a good joke in that one.

It's interesting. For fifty years of polling we had fairly reliable results, except for a "Dewey Defeats Truman" here or there. Now, over the last four years as uncorraborative and highly insecure voting machines from companies that have clearly articulated a political agenda, we see that the polls are extremely inaccurate.

Just saying.

I know why there is some error in polling. But this is ridiculous. Actually, it's incredible.

The margin of victory for Clinton was slim in NH. Even though I believe she will win the primary eventually, there's no doubt that she still provokes a strong negative reaction among some.

But this is a dog and pony show, really. The horserace aspect of presidential runs seem to be the only way that the press can imagine covering elections. Pretty soon, because of the soundbyte reality of TV, everyone gets misquoted, and the public never really knows what they're saying. Not that it matters.

That deletion was me. I can't proofread my own writing.:) Look at it this way: After the first two primaries, your available choices for President will have been cut in half or more. Why? Were they unfit to be President? No. The media and a circus event drummed them out of town. Your next President has long since been determined by the media and other powers. They just aren't telling you, so we all continue to think there's this farce called electing our President.

lol @ your comment. i agree with you 150%

nice post, and it made me start thinkin, am i blindly supporting barack obama?

personally, it feels like the media hype has made me cast a blind eye on some of his shortcomings, like the fact that he(along with edwards and clinton) said they sent troops into pakistan without permission from pakistan to catch bin laden. imo, i think that's just stupid. . . but i find myself supporting him nonetheless. . .sigh*

and thx for the link, i added u to my site as well
